New Description ‑ Iowa 150 and its extension in Winneshiek County described as follows:

Beginning on the Winneshiek‑Fayette County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 3l‑T96N‑R8W Winneshiek County, (NW Corner Section 6‑T95N‑R8W, Fayette County); then northwest, north and northeast through Sections 36, 25, 26, 23, 14 and 11‑T96N‑R9W to a point near the E ¼ Corner Section 11‑T96N‑R9W; then north following substantially the section line of Section 12‑T96N‑R9W to a point near the SW Corner Section 1‑T96N‑R9W; then in a northeasterly, northerly and northwesterly direction through the west part of said Section 1 to a point approximately 300 feet north of the W ¼ Corner said Section 1; then north following substantially the section line of Section 1‑T96N‑R9W and Section 36‑T97N‑R9W to the south corporation line of Calmar, connecting with Maryville Street.

Calmar:

Beginning on Maryville Street at the south corporation line; then north, northwest and north on Maryville Street to Main Street (junction U.S. 52 and Iowa 24).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 150 begins on the Winneshiek‑Fayette County line approximately 12 miles east of the SW corner of Winneshiek County, and travels in a generally northwesterly and northerly direction to a point in Calmar, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 150 in Winneshiek County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 150 in Winneshiek County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Beginning on the Winneshiek‑Fayette County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 31-T96N-R8W Winneshiek County, (NW Corner Section 6‑T95N‑R8W, Fayette County) thence in a northwesterly, northerly and northeasterly direction through Sections 36, 25, 26, 23, 14, and 11-T96N-R9W to a point near the E ¼ Corner Section 11‑T96N‑R9W; thence northerly following substantially the section line of Section 12‑T96N‑R9W to a point near the SW Corner Section 1-T96N-R9W; thence in a northeasterly, northerly and northwesterly direction through the west part of said Section 1 to a point approximately 300 feet north of the W ¼ Corner said Section 1; thence northerly following substantially the section line of Section 1‑T96N‑R9W and Section 36‑T97N‑R9W to the south corporation line of the City of Calmar connecting with an unnamed street.
